Jaguar Land Rover envisions a future where steering wheels are still included in vehicles some 30 years down the road.
In fact, the British automaker believes an AI-powered steering wheel might be the only thing we need in future cars.
As a result, Jaguar announced a concept for a standalone steering wheel, called Sayer, which you can talk to and is capable of performing hundreds of tasks.
For all intents and purposes, Jaguar hopes Sayer will be seen as a “trusted companion” and a stylish AI device people can rely on.
One example would be telling the steering wheel about a meeting you have in the morning, the night before and it taking care of it the next day.
It’s still a ways off, but is an interesting idea for the future of transportation moving forward.
