Despatch walk-in and truck-in ovens can accommodate a variety of specific product and process needs. These ovens are suitable for loading manually or by fork truck. Typical applications include: aging, bonding, curing, drying, baking, heat treating, annealing and stress-relieving. Despatch’s design, manufacturing, quality and innovation ensure industrial ruggedness, excellent process control, and dependable operation.
The TAD/TFD walk-in and truck-in ovens feature horizontal recirculating airflow to ensure uniform temperatures throughout the oven. A high volume fan circulates air through perforated, aluminized steel walls to create a constant horizontal airflow across all sections of the oven. TFD Class A ovens meet NFPA requirements for flammable solvents. The maximum temperature is 343°C (650°F) with the capability to temps up to 538°C (1000°F).
The S-Series walk-in and truck-in ovens are designed for industrial process versatility, dependability and economical use of space. A uni-flow airflow design delivers heated air from both sides of the chamber for uniform operating temperatures. The air moves horizontally and vertically through the work chamber and is reheated and re-circulated through the system. Doors in the front and back are available for a pass-through version. Two maximum temperature ratings available:260°C and 343°C (500°F and 650°F).
PW truck-in and walk-in ovens offer horizontal convected airflow. Adjustable recirculating air louvers allow fine- tuning to ensure uniform air flow and consistent product heating, even with varying load configurations. Typical applications include: aging, bonding, curing, drying, heat treating and burn-in. See TA/TF Walk-In Ovens and Truck-In Ovens for current standard models.
Custom Walk-In Ovens And Truck-In Ovens
A pharmaceutical manufacturer needed a reliable oven to heat cure the seal caps on vials. A customized Despatch TA truck-in and walk-in oven offered the ideal thermal curing solution and allowed product to be loaded and unloaded directly into and from the oven with minimal material handling.
This customized TA truck-in and walk-in oven featured a stainless steel interior and exterior to meet the customer’s application. The oven also features a high-volume recirculating fan with horizontal airflow for fast, uniform heating. The Protocol Plus™ controller ensures accurate temperature and process control. The TA truck-in and walk-in oven is shipped fully assembled, wired and tested to minimize installation time.
An industrial equipment manufacturer needed an oven to both heat-cure and store sheets of material at different temperatures in a single oven. Despatch designed a custom TA truck-in and walk-in oven with an insulated horizontal center panel to separate the oven interior into upper and lower chambers, each capable of different processing temperatures. Despatch provided upper and lower racks with shelves for fast, efficient product loading and unloading.
Additional fresh air inlets with manual dampers were installed in the
lower chamber to allow the chamber to operate 10-20°C cooler than the upper chamber. Adjustable louvers in the chambers provided temperature uniformity throughout each chamber. An additional thermocouple with digital readout was added to monitor the lower chamber temperature.
Despatch developed a highly uniform, custom thaw chamber for the pharmaceutical application of thawing bags of frozen liquid under very controlled conditions. The precise thawing technology uses high speed horizontal airflow in a closed chamber to thaw batches as quickly as possible while maintaining uniform temperatures in each individual bag. Utilizing a thaw chamber instead of a customary water bath eliminates the possibility of the bags cross-contaminating from any leakage.
Products may be moved into and out of ovens by a wide variety of material handling equipment. Despatch can engineer custom truck solutions from simple manual systems to complex automated systems. For a truck loaded oven, you need to consider how many products can be loaded on the truck, the weight of the loaded truck, number of trucks that will fit in the oven, and the length of the process time in the oven. Trucks and carts can be designed to optimize the airflow pattern of the oven around the load. The main goal is to minimize obstructions to the airflow for more uniform heat distribution and to maximize the product surface area with which airflow will come into contact.
Billet Mixer: This specially designed truck with automatic engagement to a rotating drive is for warming various plastic pellets to be used in injection molding processes. The rotating cart keeps the pellets from sticking together while at temperature.
Filter Drying Cart: This special truck is designed for curing and drying of various liquid filters of similar diameters but a large range of lengths. The design allows for large quantities of varying sizes to be processed at the same time. The removable slats that the vertical tubes are on provides for added flexibility.
