Despatch’s variety of high performance drying ovens offers a range of cabinet sizes and temperature capabilities to meet every application. All ovens have programmable controls and stainless steel interiors to prevent corrosion. Available options include inert atmosphere, HEPA filtration and Class A clean process capabilities.
The Despatch LBB forced convection oven offers basic, single set-point temperature processing up to 204°C (400°F). The forced convection from the top-mounted fan and plenums on the sides of the chamber offer consistent temperature uniformity. The fan and heater are top-mounted to prevent damage from spills. When spills do occur, the corrosion-resistant stainless steel interior and nickel-plated shelves clean up easily.
The LAC benchtop oven features high-volume, horizontal recirculating airflow and exceptional temperature uniformity up to 260°C (500°F). Additional highlights of this oven include improved programmable controls and an optional forced exhaust for additional moisture removal. A heater upgrade is available for faster heat-up and temperature recovery when forced exhaust is included.
These clean process ovens are designed to save valuable floor space and provide a variety of standard or tailored options for manufacturers based on their specific drying needs. The LCC and LCD ovens are affordable solutions which offer the highest standards in HEPA filtration for drying processes where minimal contamination is essential. Re-circulated airflow is 100% HEPA filtered for operation at ISO Class 5 (Class 100) and better within the oven chamber which is ideal for drying electric components that require a clean process.
Despatch’s LCC/LCD2-14 clean process ovens are designed to meet the demands of production and large scale R&D environments. These ovens are the perfect solution for drying for life science applications. The LCC/LCD2-14 clean process ovens offer the ultimate in HEPA filtration for processes where minimal contamination is essential. The ovens maintain ISO Class 5 (Class 100) through the process cycle with ramp rates up to 5°C (9°F ) per minute. In addition to inert atmosphere and air atmosphere configurations, the LCC/LCD2-14 can be configured for Class A environments, with a pressure relief panel, purge timer, and forced exhaust to meet NFPA 86 requirements for processing flammable solvents. Optional pass-through operation with doors on the front and rear is available.
The RA/RF reach-in ovens offer a maximum temperature of 343°C (650°F) with horizontal recirculating airflow and exceptional temperature uniformity. A programmable controller allows for multiple temperature operations. The RF is available for drying applications up to 537°C (1000°F) and including flammable solvents. These Class A ovens are specially designed to meet NFPA 86 requirements and include a pressure relief panel, purge time and exhaust fan.
The TA/TF walk-in and truck-in ovens offer a higher capacity, heavier industrial drying process for exceptional moisture removal. Maximum temperatures are up to 343° C (650° F). These ovens feature an aluminized steel interior and a programmable controller. TA/TF ovens for drying are fully assembled and factory tested prior to shipment.
The S-Series walk-in and truck-in ovens have a convected, uni-flow air circulation design that delivers superior uniformity and process reliability. Two maximum temperature ratings available: 260°C and 343°C (500°F and 650°F). These ovens are suited for drying large batches and large components. Trucks, shelves and vertical lift doors are available as an option.
PC series conveyor ovens provide extremely consistent and repeatable process results at temperatures up to 260°C (500°F). Options include Class A models specifically designed for flammable solvents and a HEPA filtered model for applications that require Class 1000 cleanliness. These ovens offer a small footprint with high-volume production.
Custom Drying Ovens
A pharmaceutical manufacturer needed a system to dry a slurry mixture in molds to form tablets. This was a low-temperature process but required high temperature uniformity and low air flow to avoid displacement of product during processing. Despatch has many custom solutions for granulation drying including reach-in and truck-in ovens to meet specific size and processing requirements.
